owner, wedding planner
Hi I’m Adell
Since I was a little girl, I knew I would be an entrepreneur tackling big projects somewhere. First it was “ I wanna be a lawyer” make a difference, but that faded after high school. I grew up one of four girls, although I was the only one who truly loved baking with my mom, setting napkins at the table, and creating that one of a kind presentation for when grandma came over for dinner. My mom taught me that believing in God first before anything was so important, so much so I went to a catholic high school, and then went on to pursue a business degree from the University of Michigan in accounting and hospitality. I went on to start my own bookkeeping & tax firm. After many years, I realized how much I missed having a life with more creativity. It wasn’t until 2015, when I planned and designed my own wedding day. I aimlessly spent hours upon hours over a year collecting all these design pieces and drafting layouts, that were actually fun, although; I had not really understood how beneficial a day-of coordinator or wedding planner could have been. As on my wedding day there were a few mishaps and overlooked budgets, lol. It was then I learned how important it was to have someone else take on the reigns on your wedding day. It was then I decided to go back to school and achieve an wedding planning certificate and be able to continue the creative designing that I loved. To gain additional hands-on experience, I interned with a local event company for over a year, and in 2016 Everlasting Engagements was born.
Today I am proud of the vendor and venue relationships we have built, the ability to be both meticulous and creative everyday, and the opportunity to make my couples dreams come true on a budget.
When I am not planning your perfect day, I am trying to get around of golf in, or cuddling with my cat, with a great glass of vino in hand.
